Emerging plans for world-class entertainment resort to be revealed in November

The developer behind the multi-billion pound London Paramount Entertainment Resort is returning to North Kent next month with 12 public events to showcase the emerging plans for the project.

London Resort Company Holdings (LRCH) will be hosting a number of consultation events in Dartford and Gravesham across a two-week period in November. This latest round of events represents the second stage in an extensive programme of community consultation, which officially commenced earlier this year.

Over 2,000 local residents and businesses went along to events in July, where North Kent residents were asked how they would prefer to be consulted on LRCH’s plans for the Entertainment Resort over the next 12 months. The team has carefully considered all the responses to questions on preferred venues, event times and communication methods, and an in-depth report on the results is now available to view on the London Paramount website. Some key findings from the report include:

  • A clear majority of respondents (59%) preferred to attend an exhibition in the evening between 6pm-8pm;
  • 84% of respondents expressed an interest in attending a workshop event in early 2015, with ‘transport’ and ‘job opportunities’ particularly popular themes; and
  • 77% of respondents would like to be kept up to date on the proposals through the use of email bulletins; with 49% choosing newsletters and 24% leaflets.

The feedback received from the July consultation events has helped to shape the next round of consultation, which will see LRCH host 12 events across Dartford and Gravesham in the first two weeks of November.

Fenlon Dunphy, on behalf of LRCH, says:

“The feedback we received from the public events in the summer has been instrumental in shaping how we run our next stage of consultation. With events across numerous venues in the area in November, and further events planned next year, we hope to speak to as many local people as possible.

“We are delighted that we are now at a stage to share exciting information about the proposals and we hope local people can come along to see our emerging masterplan and share their views with the team”.
