Over 2000 attend London Paramount public consultation events
London Resort Company Holdings (LRCH) held a series of public consultation events last week on the proposed London Paramount Entertainment Resort in North Kent. The events were attended by over 2000 people and were the first stage of a year-long consultation process.
The four events that took place from 10th-12th July in Dartford and Gravesham sought to understand how local communities, stakeholders and interested parties would like to be consulted. Visitors to the exhibitions were invited to provide feedback by completing forms on iPads or filling in paper copies with questions on preferred venues, event times and communication methods.
To date over a thousand feedback forms have been received with respondents showing a preference for non-traditional communication methods such as email, website and social media pages. A range of issues were identified, both through discussion with individuals who attended the events and the feedback forms, with literally hundreds of respondents keen to attend workshops on these topics.
Fenlon Dunphy, on behalf of LRCH, said:
“We really appreciate the time given by all those people that came along to our public consultation events; overall the community seems to be excited about the idea of the London Paramount Entertainment Resort. The events not only gave us the opportunity to meet local residents and key stakeholders, but also provided us with a lot of informative feedback that will enable us to tailor our consultation process to the topics identified by those local people and interested parties.”
The deadline for feedback is 28th July 2014 with the community invited to complete the form on the London Paramount website www.londonparamount.info or request a copy by contacting the London Paramount community line on 0800 008 6765 and returning the form to the freepost address.
